What Am I Fighting For

Unklejam

A landmark top twenty tune for Unklejam. We spent an age trying to get the Giorgio Moroder influenced bass line to sit comfortably in the tune. The vocal was recorded and compiled three times including a second version of the whole tune a tone and a half below the final version.

The bridge and chorus guitar was me just trying a part out. It was always my intention to change it, but I'm fairly happy with it.

Very underrated tune!! I think there is still a lot of life left in this track and that it will re-surface in some form or another in the future and gain the popularity of the masses it deserves.

Also, what's happened to UnkleJam??? I hope they haven't given up or been dropped because they did not gain instant success. Those dudes where on to something good that required a great deal of patience and persistence!

Hi Jono
Unklejam were dropped by Virgin Records early last year. They're no longer functioning as a band but are pursuing solo careers.
