Hi

Im a student in South Africa learning sound engineering, and was wondering how you recorded the acoustic guitar in the beginning of "Seven Days in Sunny June", it just sound awesome.

What mic's you used, there positions when you recorded, and if you did any processing on the signal or recording?

Thanks

Regards
Pascal

Hi Pascal
The mic was a Neumann KM184 into a Digidesign pre. The protools compressor was the generic native comp , and I squeezed the output with the G-series SSL channel comp. The guitar was a Taylor. Mic placement is crucial and I spent some time on that but there are no rules with regards to placement remember that and you'll be fine.
