Mike is best known for his pop successes with artists such as Kylie Minogue, Jamiroquai, Rudimental, Ellie Goulding, John Newman and Emeli Sande. His productions have topped charts worldwide, achieved numerous multi-platinum sales awards, MOBO and Brit award wins as well as Mercury Prize nominations.
As well as working with some of the biggest names in music Mike has a passion for recording groups who might not necessarily be seen as the typical pop client. From his work with The World Food Programme in Sudan, recording Dinka tribes, to producing Khmer folk in Cambodia, Mike has a wide and diverse love and experience of music.
In 2009 Mike moved his HQ to Buckinghamshire, setting up The Lark’s Tongue with Liz Horsman.
As an artist Liz was signed to Andy Ross’ Food Records alongside fellow Camden luminaries Blur. Following her departure from Food/Parlophone, Liz focused on songwriting and production, working with signed and emerging artists, most recently enjoying success with Markus Schulz’s “Lord Knows” and Fono’s “Real Joy”.
As Mike’s studio assistant and programmer Liz has contributed to some of the biggest albums of the past few years as well as singing backing vocals on many.
In 2009 Liz conceptualized and designed The Lark’s Tongue Studios: a first class, contemporary residential recording environment in Buckinghamshire.
